“Worthy Is The Lamb”
When I think about how precious this particular lamb is to me (my BB), I can better understand the significance of the sacrifice that Old Testament families had to make as an atonement for their sin. Not only was their sacrificial lamb a source of income, they were a part of their family. Lambs are gentle, they are kind, and they will follow those that they trust anywhere. I cannot imagine the betrayal that you would feel as you handed your innocent lamb over to the Priest to be sacrificed.
I am so thankful that God made a way for us to be forgiven without the need to shed the blood of animals. God sent a perfect Lamb, Jesus, to die for us! His blood permanently washes away the sin of those who follow Him.
So on this Easter morning, remember John 3:16 (KJV):
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
On this Resurrection Sunday, aren’t we thankful that Jesus, the perfect, sinless, Lamb of God, shed His blood on a cross for us, died, and was resurrected, so that we would have everlasting life?
I am so thankful to know that my Redeemer LIVES!!!
