This was a big day as we shipped over a hundred cows out for a special sale. It was bitter sweet, but we were so blessed to know that our girls went to great farms around the state. We are switching over from a “commercial cow-calf operation” to more of a “calf grower operation”. We still have about 50 mama cows, but this operation will be MUCH less physically taxing and as we get older, the work gets harder.
Life is all about change, but that doesn’t mean it is always easy. At 60 years old, JW realizes that he is being forced to work smarter, not harder.
