A Christmas Message From Heaven

Matthew 2:1-2 (KJV) “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

A celestial phenomenon will occur beginning on December 21, 2020, and will continue for the week of Christmas. The Star of Bethlehem, also known as the Star of David, or the Christmas Star, will appear as Jupiter and Saturn converge to create the illusion of a “double planet,” that will shine brighter than any other star in the sky. The last time anyone on Earth witnessed this, it was in the year 1226, so to say that this is a rare phenomenon would be an understatement.

As we can all attest, this year has been a very difficult one. Confusion, anxiety, social unrest, and an uncertainty about our health and safety, has been something that we have all experienced. However, if we remember what the world was like when the first Christmas Star appeared, we realize that the world is no more chaotic and uncertain today, than it was the night that baby Jesus was born in a manger.

The first Christmas Star announced the coming of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to a lost and dying world, and I believe that the Christmas Star of 2020 is intended to do the same. Isn’t it amazing that God foreordained this convergence of planets, this Christmas Star, to occur in the year 2020, to remind every creature on the planet, that Jesus came to Earth first, as our sacrificial lamb, but the final time that Jesus returns, He will return as the Lion of Judah.

Christians around the world will be watching the sky to get a glimpse of this message of hope from heaven, but also for the day that the Lord will come to take His Church home, to live with Him forever.

I challenge each of us to use this Christmas Star, as a way to tell others about Jesus, and how He came first as an innocent baby, but how He will return as our Sovereign King.

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas everyone!
